oh,i'd forgotten to intro some movies i'd watched over e month firstly, AH LONG PTE LTD and the money-lending business. The movie takes on a humorous and sarcastic treatment on the underworld. It depicts how a young lady, Li Hua (Fann Wong) tries to restructure her money-lending triad into a professional and 'loving' triad that stands against the use of violence after she takes over from her triad leader (Richard Low) who retired. Her various restructuring plans (which are no doubt very creative) bring about hilarious results. Li Hua tired of her mother's constant nagging to get married, she finally relented and proposed to Mr Fang (Mark Lee), an effeminate dance instructor cum image stylist. Surprised to many and even herself, Mr Fang accepted the proposal. The unusual union, despite the misfits, soon blossom into love. above is e description i gotten fr gv'web, me myself tinks tt e show was nt as bad as some critics mentioned jokes were tickling as usual personal rating:4/5 here comes the second movie THE SCREEN AT KAMCHANOD based on an actual news report of an unusual outdoor cinema experience in the far-flung village in Northeastern Thailand. What seems like a routine film screening turns out to be one of the strangest mysteries. Is it possible that those who hired the film projectionists to screen movies at Kamchanod forest in 1989 were not humans but a community of ghosts and ghouls? By director Songsak Mongkolthong, "The Screen at Kamchanod" takes its inspiration from the news article and puts its present-day characters into a dark pursuit of the truth behind that mysterious incident that took place 18 years ago. Situated in Wang Tong village, Kamchanod is an enclosed forest situated amid the barren paddy fields in Northeastern Thailand. Guarded by small waterways, it is a sacred forest revered by both Thai and Lao villagers who believe that it houses an entrance to the underground kingdom of Naga, the mythical creature that resides along the Mekong River. It is also a strange botanical domain with thick, towering kamchanod trees sprung up from the empty landscape. For 18 years, the notorious scandal involved a band of film projectionists and their spine-tingling encounter with the ghostly audience of Kamchanod. e show is rather messy in terms of the storyline, may nt be able to follow through according to e pace of e show, but in terms of its horror-ness,im too scared to watch haha,im always covering my eyes, jkjk nt a movie tt will give u chill down ur spine aft u stepped out of e theatre personal rating:3/5 wonder y i did'nt jus edit my last post to add in this? coz by poting this,i will hit my blog's 100th post:P |
